Remembering Tak Yamamoto

The San Fernando Valley JACL mourns the loss of our friend and former chapter president Tak Yamamoto.  In addition to his courageous advocacy for LGBT rights, he was a leader of the Manzanar Committee and worked tirelessly to preserve the memories of the victims of America's WWII concentration camps.  Please take a look at the following videos to see Tak "in action" at various Manzanar Pilgrimages over the years.  You can learn more about Tak's life and legacy at the Manzanar Committee website.

Thank you, JD, for this addition of important benchmarks in our SFVJACL history book. The remembrance of Tak Yamamoto is well done and important.
