The JACL Installation luncheon will be held, Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Odyssey Restaurant, 15600 Odyssey Drive, Granada Hills, CA.

Professor Emeritus Don T. Nakanishi (BA Yale, PhD Harvard), former Director of the UCLA Asian American Studies Center will be the guest speaker at the luncheon.

Nakanishi has written approximately 80 books, articles and reports on the political participation of Asian Pacific Americans and other ethnic and racial groups in American politics. He was also co-founder and served as publisher of Amerasia Journal, the top scholarly journal in the field of Asian American Studies.  Professor Nakanishi's recent advocacy to incorporate East Los Angeles, where he was born and raised, has been covered in the LA Times.

The No Host Social will commence at 11:30 am with lunch served at 12:00 noon. Ticket reservations for the luncheon may be arranged by contacting Linda Tanaka at: 805-527-1224 or at lkitai@hotmail.com. Tickets are $36.00 per person. For additional information, please contact Linda Tanaka.
